Annalise Top 5: UT Restaurants

This is a little series that I"m going to call "Annalise's Top 5 of the week". I'll cover multiple top 5's for me, including skin care lines or products, restaurants, Boutiques, clothing items and so on! Today, lets talk FOOD!

TOP 5 FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT

Lets talk FOOD. Utah surprisingly has a ton of delicious amounts of different foods and restaurants to try. I'm a foodie, and thankfully, I married a foodie. We often find that our dates wind up with us at a new restaurant to taste. I have a few staples now, that I refer to when we want to eat somewhere nice-ish, but semi affordable too. Depending on your style of food, I've listed a few options below that we like to hit up regularly!

*Left to Right*

The Bayou

Just like it's name suggests, we are talking about delicious Cajun food! I have a hubby who has roots tied to the south, so It's no wonder we found ourselves eating at this delicious restaurant. The pricing here is similar to The Cheesecake Factory, so plan on a little heavier tab, and its only 21+. However, the dishes are to die for. They're loaded with flavor, and always come out hot and fresh, making it a favorite place to go for us. I've had a lot on the menu from the Game Hen to the Jambalaya. All have been absolutely exquisite and satisfying every time.

Slack Water

Pizza lovers, start your engines! This is a new little spot, up North in Ogden Utah that has literally some of the best pizza I have ever had in my life. I'm not a picky pizza eater by any means, pizza is pizza man, but when it comes to crust, I have a whole new type of love for SlackWater's crust. Their crust is so amazing, they even have calzones ready to order in any of their pizzas. This place is perfect for eating out in the summer, they have a perfect outside deck that has a view to the weber river that floats by and little café lights! Talk about effortlessly romantic AND delicious.

Fat Fish

Mmmm…. sushi. There is very few things that sushi can't fix for me, and basically a stomach ache is the only one.

I LOVE Fat Fish. It's the only place I will suggest to someone to go get sushi here in Utah. I've take all my girlfriends on dates here, and my sister and I hit it up whenever we have a sister date. Its literally, that delicious. And did I mention, they also sell PHO! Which come on, can you ask for anymore really from a sushi bar? Whether you're a fried or raw roll type of person, you'll find all your sushi loving needs at Fat Fish!

Bucket O' Crawfish

Lets just keep the fishy trend going shall we? Don't want sushi? Well then, hit up Bucket O' Craw fish located literally RIGHT NEXT DOOR. I am a seafood lover, I love all things fishy. LOL But for real I do. I love clams, oysters, lobster, crab, you name it, I'll probably eat it. Now mix Cajun with seafood and now we are REEEEALLY talking. That's exactly what Bucket O' Crawfish is. A southern style seafood throw type of eating style, where you'll be sure to have a deliciously, messy, finger food meal.

Pig & A Jelly Jar

Another southern creole style comfort food restaurant. Wow... I should move. LOL Their main and most popular item on the menu, chicken and waffles. There was like 2 months straight where I would beg, literally beg Robbie to take me here to eat like every other week. Poor dude. It's a good thing everything we've had on the menu has been utterly amazing and delicious, plus there's enough options to rotate through, that he didn't really get sick of it! Whether you're wanting breakfast, brunch or dinner, Pig and a Jell Jar has got you covered! My favorite options on the menu are, pork belly BLT, Breakfast Sandwich and their chicken sandwich. The best part, their food is organic and sourced locally!
